Tag along in this part-time distance course for employees within a vehicle, tech, or industry company in Fyrboldal or one of the 13 municipalities of the Gothenburg region. The course is an upskilling course for participants with previous knowledge in C. The course is free of charge.

The aim of the course is that the participants should, based on their knowledge of programming in the language C, develop knowledge and skills in programming and be able to create programs with the language C++.

Target group


To participate in the course, you must be an employee within a vehicle, tech, or industry company (either employed, terminated, or notified). The company must be active in the Gothenburg region's 13 municipalities (Ale, Alingsås, Gothenburg, Härryda, Kungsbacka, Kungälv, Lerum, Lilla Edet, Mölndal, Partille, Stenungsund, Tjörn, Öckerö). The company can also be active in Fyrbodal ( Bengtsfors, Dals-Ed, Lysekil, Mellerud, Munkedal, Orust, Sotenäs, Strömstad, Tanum, Trollhättan, Uddevalla, Vänersborg eller Åmål).


What you'll learn


The difference between C and C++.
Memory management, references, and pointers in C++.
Best practices for writing C++ code.
How to compile, link, and run C++ code.
How to write hardware-related code that can be run on eg microchip.
How to use C++ in your working life.

Practical information

Dates and time:

Week 38-49 on Mondays and Wednesdays. First lessons will be Monday 19 September and Wednesday 21 September, 16.00-18.00. 
The course will be carried out in with 2x2 hours of teacher-led meetings/week, and corresponds to about 4 weeks of full-time education.

Format:
Digitally via Yrkesakademin's learning platform, where all material is also available. The education level is post-secondary. The training will be in English.

Pricing: Free of charge for the target group. However, the course is considered state aid. Participating companies are thereby obliged to sign a form to confirm that they have received state aid.

Digital signing
: The course is partly financed by the European Social Fund. After the course, you will need to digitally sign your participation.

Prior knowledge: Software developer with basic knowledge of programming language C.
